FREDERICTON (GNB) – On behalf of the auditors general of most provinces, as well as the auditor general of Canada, the federal commissioner of the environment and sustainable development, Julie Gelfand, will be presenting a collaborative report titled Perspectives on Climate Change Action in Canada: A Collaborative Report from Auditors General for tabling in the House of Commons on Tuesday, March 27.

This collaborative report builds on audit work released over the last 18 months in most provinces, in the three northern territories, and at the federal level to provide an overall assessment of whether federal, provincial and territorial governments have met their commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change. It will provide an independent, big-picture review of the state of governmental actions on climate change commitments across the country.
