FREDERICTON (GNB) – Volumes III and IV of the 2016 report of the auditor general will be released at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

At that time, copies of the report will be available at the legislative assembly as well as online at the Auditor General of New Brunswick website. In addition to the report, the PowerPoint presentation to be delivered to members of the public accounts and Crown corporation committees, as well as photos relating to Chapter 2 and one-page chapter summaries, will be available.

Volume III contains:

  • Chapter 1 – Introductory Comments by the auditor general;
  • Chapter 2 – Department of Health – Meat Safety – Food Premises Program;
  • Chapter 3 – Follow-up on Recommendations from Prior Years’ Performance Audit Chapters.

Volume IV contains:

  • Chapter 1 – Introductory Comments by the auditor general;
  • Chapter 2 – Comments on the province’s financial position;
  • Chapter 3 – Accounting for Pensions, Nursing Homes and Contingency Reserve;
  • Chapter 4 – Matters arising from our Audit of the Financial Statements of the Province;
  • Chapter 5 – Matters Arising from our Audits of Crown Agencies and Federal Claims.

Auditor General Kim MacPherson will be available around 12:15 p.m. to respond to questions from the media at a news conference to be held in Centennial Building, Room 112, 670 King St., Fredericton following her presentation in the legislature on the same day.
